Why can't the WTS handle the truth on why people really leave the organization?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwhat do you think are the reasons why the wts can't handle the truth on why members quit?
why must they disfellowship everyone who would say something like this to an elder on why he/she no longer wishes to be a member......................................................................................................... '' i do not want to be a member any longer because of the changing ''generation'' teaching,the wts is just a publishing and real estate corporation,the preaching work is just a means to distribute books and magazines,the baptism and disfellowshipping of teenagers is wrong,the meetings are boring,the meetings are repetative, the 144,000 is symbolic not literal ...etc.....etc.....

Did you ever pass up an opportunity to leave the truth?
by truthseeker inyears ago when everything was going pear shaped for me in my personal life and in the congregation, i saw my opportunity to leave.
i had no friends, the elders didn't like me and i was one step away from resigning.
i had nothing to lose.. this was back in '97 before i got the internet.. one of my regrets is that i didn't leave when i had the chance.

Sister in my Congregation claims Jehovah always answers her prayers....including her new skirt and shoes for $20 bucks???
by Witness 007 into show you how dumb and shallow my congregation is a one of our "deeper" sisters claimed in field services that "jehovah answers all my prayers...like last week i wanted a new skirt and shoes for field service but only had $20 dollars....and would you believe i found them!!!
now i for one though well, why didn't you pray or the oil pipe in the mexican gulf to dry up...or food for the poor in haiti.
other pioneers tell of vegetables falling off trucks just when they had nothing for dinner???

It's not hard to get a new skirt and shoes at Goodwill, Salvation Army or a garage sale.

I Just Ran Into a Former Bible Student And He Was (Sadly) Shocked About Me
by minimus ini studied with this guy for years.
he believed it was the "truth" although a few things weren't right with him.
he asked me how business, family, being an elder was and he was flabbergasted when i told him i was divorced and had left the religion.

JW Woman dies refusing blood....
by iknowall558 inwendy cloete louwwe lost a sister in our congregation today, had severe depression and tried to take her own life.
sad thing is if the doctors stopped being petty and insisting on bloody and just gave her alternative blood volumiser sooner she might have been fine.
it took the elders hours to get her transferred to a new hospital.

I went to Sunday School and church this morning. The Sunday School lesson was on LEGALISTIC religions and how damaging they are to true spirituality.
My son and daughter are having us over to my daughter's house for a mid-afternoon meal. My son is cooking.

by babygirl30 inthis is solely about my family...how messed up they are and will probably be till lord knows when.. 1. dad is a controlling, emotionally abusive, non affectionate, narcsissist.
everything needs to be about him in some way shape or form.
no compassion whatsoever for people who do not 'worship' the ground he walks on...and that includes his own children.

Just because people are family does not mean that you have to be friends with them or even have them as a major part of your life. Sometimes you have to take care of yourself and form your own life. It's sad to a certain extent but sometimes necessary to find happiness in your own life. There are many people that do not have a close relationship with their family. You'll find others out there in your same boat. Not everyone has a close, nurturing family. Those that do should appreciate what they have.

What I hate most about missing the meetings...
by gutted in...is when people ask why i wasn't there.
usually i tell them, that i was sick, or not feeling well, which for the most part is true.
what is irritating is when someone presses it, especially someone you are closer with in the congregation.

Just stop going to all of them. Then nobody can ask you where you were.
